The Bible says in Luke 2:7 that Jesus was born in a manger because there was no room for him in the inn. In order for us to understand the signifigance of this event we must first understand what a manger is. A manger has several definitions; one of them is a box, which we all know means a small enclosed place. Some of you may feels as though you have been boxed in what seems as an unbearable situation that is hard to come out of. But God says, The reason you are boxed in is because He is trying to teach you how to box your way out of what seems unbearable. Life is a bully, comparable to Goliath. Just like Goliath, life is trying to kill your confidence and make you feel as if you are too small and not powerful enough to win the battle, but God said, TODAY you shall have victory like David! Believe in yourself and know that God is the author and finisher of your faith. In return your spirit will be strengthened. Never forget that you have been boxed in for a purpose. For the word says, "Greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world." It is time to rely on the greater that is in you. IT'S FEEDING TIME!
Another definition for manger is "to feed the sheep." The manger is the place where the sheperd poured the food for the sheep. God poured you in this box to feed those that are around you, so suck it up. "The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all." There is purpose in you! Seek to understand what God is using and preparing you for in this season, then watch Him release you to greater!
